Urban Art Fest to take place in Tbilisi

Fabrikaffiti 2019 – Urban Art Festival will take place on October 12-13 at Fabrika Tbilisi.
Urban Art Festival is powered by Sioni HiFi SoundSystem, while it is curated by CRU Crew.
This year our festival will host the legendary graffiti artist T-KID from New York. On October 11, a workshop by T-KID - 'Express Yourself through graffiti art' will take place, while on October 12, the visitors will have a chance to hear about the1970s to 1980s gangs, graffiti & hip-hop.”
Julius Cavero, T-KID is a well-known graffiti artist from the Bronx, New York. In 1968 T-Kid had the first encounter with graffiti at 7 years old. Cavero gave up gang life for street art.
T-KID 170 became famous for his unique lettering, illustration style, and extremely prolific train-bombing. T-KID has been shown at many exhibitions in Europe as well as in New York.
Digital Sketching Workshop by Creative Education Studio will take place on October 12 at 13:00.
Public Skating, public talks, workshops, masterclasses, film screenings, sketch battle, and other entertaining events are planned within the frames of the festival.
The Festival is supported by Fabrika, Fabrika Hostel, TBC, Tbilisi City Hall, Vendoo, Red Bull, MUA - Multiverse Architecture, etc.
Fabrika is a multi-functional cultural center with urban style cafes and bars, artist studios and shops, educational institutions, co-working space, one of the biggest hostels in the region, has an open space courtyard and ever-changing one-off events.
Fabrika has created an alternative space for gathering in Tbilisi with its unique vibe and prodigious space to create and share, learn, socialize.
As part of modern urban culture, Street Art in Georgia made its start in 2005. Lately, it has become quite popular and today there are more than 20 street artists in Georgia using widespread techniques like stencils and graffiti.
