‘GEL is strengthening and it is the result of our politics’ says Natia Turnava
Georgian Lari’s consolidation is the result of the ruling party’s coordinated politics, says The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava.
"This is the result of our coordinated, deliberate economic policy, in which, of course, the National Bank also says its important word. We are doing our best to avoid inflation."
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development states that in order to not hinder the economic growth of the country, they are hastening the process of privatization and promotion and development of tourism and export.
According to Natia Turnava, this is an ongoing process and the ruling party will keep on working on Georgian Lari’s consolidation.
Tskitishvili denies the allegations against her property declaration
The minister of infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili denies allegations made against her by Transparency International Georgia, claiming that her property declaration does not lack factual information.
According to Tskitishvili, her husband and herself do not have businesses related to entrepreneurial activity.
Transparency International research reads that Maia Tskitishvili, Ekaterine Tikaridze and Levan Davitashvili have not fully publicized their properties.
TI states that Maia Tskitishvili has not mentioned her husband owns the 100% shares of the Ltd ‘Microclimate’ in the declaration and that she held the 75% shares ownership of Ltd ‘Tbilisi Commercial’ property till March of 2018, which she gave to her husband.
Occupied Akhalgori so-called officials to house locals into apartments emptied during 2008 war
Occupied Akhalgori's so-called officials plan on housing the locals into the apartments that were emptied as a result of the August war in 2008.
Three buildings, which consist of 60 apartments are planned to be occupied by locals. So-called Mayor Vitali Mamitov says that the people living in these apartments in the past ‘have decided to move to Georgia due to the changes in jurisdiction’ and these houses were left without owners.
Strasbourg’s decision regarding the Rustavi 2 case is final, says Tsulukiani
Strasbourg’s decision regarding the Rustavi 2 case is final and will not be revisited, says The Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani.
According to her, five judges from the ‘Filtration Committee's decision which did not satisfy Brothers Karamanashvilis’ lawsuit is final and it will not be revisited. Tea Tsulukiani considers this as a win for The Ministry of Justice and the whole state in general.
She publicly thanked everyone who worked on ‘protecting the justice and state interests’ and said that this win is very important for the Supreme Court and the High Council of Justice in Georgia and its head Nino Gvenetadze, who, as Tsulukiani says, became a target of negative comments.
