Winter Season Opened at Goderdzi Ski Resort

The winter tourist season opened on January 14 at Goderdzi Ski Resort.
Goderdzi ski resort is located in the Adjara region, south-west part of Georgia, at 2027 meters above sea level.
"Skiing enthusiasts will be hosted by gondola and cable car ropeways, an 80-meter rolling carpet, extraordinary skiing tracks and the beautiful nature of Goderdzi," said the statement by Mountain Resorts Development Company.
Goderdzi is famous for its views, fresh air, and landscape diversity. The resort is one of the best for free-riders. You can always find deep powder and ski in the forest, village or alpine zone.
Snow clearing works are underway in the highlands of Adjara. Chairman of the Government of Adjara Tornike Rizvadze got acquainted with the situation in the municipalities on January 13.
“The road to the administrative centers is practically cleared everywhere, as well as in the villages. The work is continuing and soon, without any significant delays, locals and tourists traveling to Goderdzi resort will be able to move. Also, there were some interruptions in the electricity supply. However, as a result of the works carried out by the company all the problems have been eliminated and the power supply will be restored very soon,” said Rizvadze.
The Department of Roads of Adjara carries out snow clearing 24 hours daily.
Goderdzi ski resort opened in 2015. The infrastructure continues to develop. There are one hotel Meteo and 6 cottages at the resort.
Mountain Resorts Development Company Ltd was founded in 2013 by the LEPL National Agency for State Property subordinated to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The company operated as Gudauri Development Agency Ltd till 2014 and managed the mountain ski resort of Gudauri.
From 2017, Mountain Resorts Development Company Ltd manages the following resorts: Gudauri, Bakuriani (Kokhta, Mitarbi, Didveli), Goderzi, Hatsvali and Tetnuldi (Mestia).
