Teenager dies after electrocuted by newly rehabilitated Vake Park fountain

A teenager who was electrocuted in the newly opened Vake Park fountain died. The information was confirmed by a doctor at Khechinashvili clinic.
According to the doctor, the condition of the second adolescent has stabilized, adding he is on oxygen.
Three children were electrocuted in the Vake Park fountain yesterday, October 13. According to eyewitnesses, the children went into the water to remove the ball from the fountain.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs started an investigation into the incident under the first part of Article 240 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the violation of safety rules at the facility of electricity or thermal energy, gas, oil, or petroleum products, which caused severe or less severe health damage.
According to the City Hall, on October 12, the rehabilitation of the small cascade and a fountain in Vake Park was completed.
"The condition of one of the teenagers was stabilized, he has been put on oxygen. After that, he was admitted to the pediatric clinic. As for the 13-year-old girl, she was admitted in with cardiac arrest. Resuscitation measures were unsuccessful and biological death was recorded," the doctor said.
