Under the leadership of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, a German business delegation will visit Georgia from 7-11 November 2022 for the first time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
German companies in the sectors of industry, infrastructure and tourism are participating in the trip as part of the Market Entry Programme funded by the Federal Government.
The majority of trade and investment between Georgia and Germany takes place in these branches of industry. These sectors also play an important role in Georgia's aspirations to join the EU, which Germany supports both politically and in terms of business.
During the visit to Tbilisi and the Kakheti region, the delegation will engage in discussions with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, as well as other organisations.
In addition, there will also be an economic forum, which will provide an opportunity for companies from both countries to connect with each other. The trip will also include visits to Georgian companies and to specific projects.
