The election of the chairman of the United National Movement will be held electronically. The decision was made at the meeting of the party working group, which was held on November 13.
The members of the UNM Bacho Dolidze and Levan Bezhashvili, who are also members of the party working group, commented on the mentioned decision.
"We agreed that the mentioned elections should be held electronically. This is important and means that many will have the opportunity to participate in the elections. It is clear that there will be some kind of filter to prevent manipulations, but I am sure that this process will be open, public and large-scale," stated Dolidze.
Levan Bezhashvili also spoke about details of the decision.
"Members of our party and our supporters will have the opportunity to elect the chairman of the National Assembly in electronic form. Along with this, there was a discussion about the possible terms. Also, about the formation of the election commission, how the issue of candidate registration should be done. It is said that the authority to nominate a candidate to the Political Council 3 At the meeting, we also touched on topics related to the possible terms of the election campaign," Bezhashvili said.
As of now, Nika Melia, Giorgi Chaladze and Giorgi Mumladze submitted their candidacy for the chairmanship of the United National Movement.
